Heather Jean has been a pelvic floor physical therapist since 2004. She has effectively helped numerous women reverse symptoms of incontinence and prolapse and constipation, restore sexual functioning, and reduce PMS or menopause symptoms. And now she wants to help women prevent these symptoms by empowering them with education. www.holisticwomb.com
The pelvic abdominal cavity is rich in autonomic functions which means it is an emotional part of the body. Strengthening the physical body is only part of healing. Using ancient practices that support emotional development along with science-based exercises, Heather Jean believes that women will feel more balanced and true to their nature. She, therefore, has cultivated skills to screen for mental-emotional health issues and collaborated with mental health practitioners, shamans, life coaches, psychiatrists, and social workers to provide holistic care.
Heather Jean not only wants to treat symptoms, but wants to prevent un-ease and dysfunction, so she has created various classes of self care. As women have their first menstruation, get pregnant and have babies, get married, or move through menopause, there are self care practices to ease the confusion and discomfort as well as celebrate the power of being female.
